“Water Massage is an extraordinary aquatic system which involves meditating while floating.
It is suitable for all ages, even for non-swimmers or people with phobia to water. It is indeed recommended to pregnant women, bringing incredible benefits to both mother and baby.
Like our planet, our body is composed by 75% -- 80% water, so it is the most natural element we can connect with. Based on the qualities of water, we can use it to transmit energy and relax our body, mind and spirit.
This massage technique combines meditation, physiotherapy, movements of Oriental and Occidental body massage and even elements of Yoga.
Water Massage helps the body to unwind and relax stresful points in a natural way. The movements in this space without gravity promotes a constant and harmonious flow of energy through all body channels.
In this way the personal health gets also supported, simply because illness cannot penetrate into a relaxed and energised body.
For the body, the passive movements are also very curative at a physiological level.
This is due to the fact that, when being liberated of tensions, all the metabolic processes of our body are sped up, to the point when oxygen-level is optimum and elimination of toxins and fat is facilitated.
In this space of almost infinite possibilites of movement, your only work is to relax and connect with your Being, which can bring you to have your thoughts relapsed in what you feel and to forget about the external world. Pamper yourself and enjoy getting in contact with your True Self”

For many people, Agama is the fulfilment of a long-awaited dream.

People of rational orientation have always looked for the scientific presentation of metaphysical and spiritual truths, keeping their mysterious, magical, and sacred flavour yet remaining based in common-sense.

Many have sought a system of practice and evolution that is clear and coherent, but also truly transcendent and compassionate. We feel that this is precisely what we can offer to the modern world.
Agama has taught thousands of international students since its inception in 1998. Our Integral Yoga courses have been our most popular offerings; in Thailand, Mexico and India, they begin with an intensive one-month introduction to Kundalini, Laya, and Tantra Yoga, and evolve into a multi-year programme entailing the deep and gradual revelation of these teachings

Agama is unique in the world. We teach some of the most esoteric and potent forms of Yoga that India and Tibet have given to world spirituality. Our system reveals the actual mechanisms behind Yoga. By using previously little-known techniques that have been adapted for the 21st century, students have a very special opportunity to learn and experience all that the 5,000 years of Yoga tradition can offer.

An intelligent blend

We offer a synthesis between the rational thinking of the West and the mystical traditions of the East, incorporating many spiritual methods and systems of personal development. Our teachings generally concern spiritual evolution and Self-realization, although we also gladly touch on subjects as down-to-earth as healing, physical development, and quality of life. We use Yoga as a very strong instrument, among many other genuine spiritual techniques, to create a powerful and comprehensive programme.

A Revolutionary Approach: The Law of Resonance

Our Yoga courses are careful to build a rational basis for this scientific system; we start by introducing the “law of resonance”. This is the law of direct correspondence between the human and the Universe, and its use in spirituality is a novel revelation. The Agama system is thus perfectly adapted to the Western mentality with its sense of personal freedom, but without losing any of Yoga’s original efficiency and power. We give you the clear answers of not only the “how”, but also the “why” of the spiritual path.

Spiritual Dimensions

Authentic Yoga is a system of personal development and spiritual growth. “Spiritual” refers to the discovery through personal experimentation of an essential “identity” of each person, that the East calls “spirit” (atman). This identity goes far beyond what we believe we are, and what others see in us; it is our true “centre”. This discovery is not intellectual, and is independent of any religious beliefs. We always challenge our students to personally experience these teachings and to judge for themselves, not to take anything in blind faith.

Health

Yoga works from the basis that when you improve your physical health, it directly influences your emotional, mental, and spiritual well-being, and vice versa. All illnesses are energy imbalances of the body, emotions, and mind. This balance can be naturally adjusted if one has the necessary knowledge and ability. Tantrics say that a healthy, strong body is the foundation for true spiritual development.

Working with Energy

As confirmed today by quantum physics, Yoga has always stated that the basis of life and the Universe is energy. Energy in the body follows pathways created by one’s power of concentration. In tantric Yoga, we work with energy according to precise techniques. It can be directly perceived, controlled, and stored in various areas of the body. This is why Yoga is an extremely powerful tool for personal development. Working with energy is the basis of any real inner transformation.

Polarity and Erotic Tantra

In Tantra Yoga, it is well known that a major characteristic of energy is polarity – i.e., that all energy is made of two poles, plus (+) and minus (-). In particular, the feminine element is called Shakti and manifests mostly in women. Shakti is analogous to the “yin” of the Taoist system and, metaphorically speaking, corresponds to the night, the Moon, and the state of receptivity. The male element is called Shiva and manifests mostly in men. Shiva is analogous to the “yang” of the Taoist system and, metaphorically speaking, corresponds to the day, the Sun, and the state of being active. Tantra Yoga works to strengthen, refine, and especially balance these polarities in each individual. It uses physical postures, breathing techniques, relaxation, visualizations, meditations, and other methods to this end. A wonderful way to work with these polarities within a loving couple is through a rare spiritual method that we give introductory lectures to in our first month course and go deeper into during occasional workshops: This being erotic Tantra.

The Universal Dimension.

True yogis honour the spiritual teachings presented in the Vedas, the Bible, the Koran, the Upanishads, the Kabbalah, Indian and Tibetan Tantras, Buddhist texts, and many other spiritual scriptures, as contributions to the unveiling of the One Truth. Yogis endeavor to tackle these teachings in a rational, goal-oriented way, which is very meaningful today for the Western mind. This explains why so many seekers have been thrilled to discover that we teach an integrated form of spirituality, in which Sufi mystical methods can be practiced together with hardcore tantric techniques, Christian prayer with down-to-earth Hatha Yoga work, and some refined aspects of the occult sciences together with Gurdjieff’s methods for Self-realization.

We believe that once the fundamental keys of spiritual knowledge are given, the pieces of the great puzzle start fitting together and a coherent image of life and the Universe emerges. For us, a true yogi is someone who can easily find his or her way through metaphysics as well as world politics, through diet and health issues, or through sexuality, magic, and mystery. A “real” human (in the Gurdjieff sense) is someone who has reached lucidity, allowing himself to penetrate all great truths. In this way, we can truly understand and use any spiritual method for Self-development, be it Zen Buddhism, the Christian Fathers of the desert, Tibetan Yoga, or music meditation, after all, to a Tantric, everything is a manifestation of the Divine.

TEACHING METHODOLOGY AND ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON FIRST MONTH INTENSIVE CERTIFICATE

Agama Yoga in Mexico has a simple goal and vision. After a one month course, we want people to leave empowered and prepared to continue their Yoga practice in their home countries. And so day by day, we simply begin to unfold different aspects of this yoga vision and it´s sophisticated and charming technologies until by the end of the month, a fairly comprehensive map of the human potential and the Yogic path of reaching it is understood. The beauty of the Yoga path is that it works upon all levels of the human structure and in Agama Yoga, we teach people how to work specifically on these different levels. If it is physical health people aspire for, we speak about food, cleansing techniques (kriyas), the physical healing of the hatha yoga practice itself, etc. And in a similar way, the Yoga tradition does not leave out the energetic, emotional, mental and what can be called spiritual realms. Ultimately the Yogic understanding is a holistic understanding which means that it recognizes the inter-connectedness of the different aspects of the being and of the being to the Universe itself. Still, what is surprising to many is that the Yoga practices themselves have each been made with a very specific purpose and with the initiation into each technique (which in the first month includes the yogic categories of asana (postures), bandha (physical locks), (lower) mudras or special gestured movements, kriya/dhauti (purification techniques) and mantra, the student is given the full spectrum of reach of that technique according to the tradition and ancient and modern experts.

In the first week of the course 14 techniques are introduced along with a special theoretical push which looks in depth at the chakra system, the deeper potential of the asana, the importance of concentration in Yoga, the subtle laws which allow Yoga to work, the 5 bodies or pancha kosha, the 8 stages of the Yoga path according to Patanjali, the receptive and emissive side of the being (Ha and Tha) and it´s practical application, and more. From the second week, we introduce daily 1 or 2 techniques, extend our classes to approximately 2 hours of practice each, begin the inspiring 10 part series on yama and niyama, which touches upon different subjects from non-violence (ahimasa), to the roll of sexuality in Yoga and alternatively Tantra (Brahmanchariya), to cultivating awareness and contentment (Santosha). The course continues at a similar pace and moves through purification techniques, the Indian holistic science of Ayurveda, the question of Vegeterianism, Karma Yoga, the Yoga of consecrated and selfless action, Yoga Nidra, the Yoga of lucid sleep, Yin and Yang in Macrobiotics and others. The final week is spent primarily practicing what has been learned including the final asana, shirsasana or the famed headstand, and is spent also going deeper into meditaion. In most months, a special initation and introduction to an advanced mantra technqiue known in the tradition as Laya Yoga is also given. Periodically, a 5.5 day silent retreat although not mandatory, is offered to first month students at an additional cost. In this way, for those who complete the first month course, after close to 150 hours of class time and talks, students have been given enough practices and confidence to move forward in this ever thrilling and beautiful path of self-discovery. The teaching itself is a vast compilation from many sources but the core of it can be found in the Indian and Tibetan traditions, some of the things being taught even being a bit rare and thus traditionally considered esoteric.

The emphasis is on cultivating concentration, aspiration, clarity on the whys and hows of what one is doing and ultimately a surrender and expanded awareness. The Yoga itself, through the daily and repeated practices experience shows us develop and open these qualities in the aspirant.
